World No Tobacco Day - 2015, Malpur - Vadodara
On account of “World No Tobacco Day” being observed on 31st May the world over, a general public meeting for relief from addictions was organized between 8.30 pm & 9.30 pm on Thursday, the 4th June 2015 by the youth workers at Malpur in Sarvatit Pradesh in which, around 60 ladies and gents participated who were informed and alerted about ruins of health, wealth and social life due to various addictions through a Powerpoint program.
Through Powerpoint program, youth worker Sri Dharmeshbhai described the disadvantages/losses done due to consumption of tobacco in any of its forms. Presenting the frightening figures of deaths due to consumption of tobacco in the world, he informed that the no of patients suffering from the cancer of mouths and chicks are the maximum in India. The tobacco is being consumed maximum in remote and backward villages in India and its habit is passed on to children by their parents or from friends there and this is increasing day by day at a very danger speed. Thus, he informed and explained to all in detail about the losses/difficulties/problems arising due to uses/consumptions of tobacco along with the unimaginable/fantastically big economic and social disadvantages and also the advantages of being/keeping away from this deadly monster.
At the end of the meeting, a video clip on relief from addictions in P.P. Hariprasadswamiji’s speech was also released by watching which, all the youths determined to, then onwards, to live entirely an addiction free life before leaving the place.
