World AIDS Day - 2016, Dabhoi
Different types of several rumours have daily been spread nowadays by social media like the face-book, what’s app etc. on AIDS creating many misbeliefs in the minds of public. Moreover, the people are also having an unknown fear about it due to which, patients with this disease are avoided in the society developing a tendency among them to either hide this disease or to commit suicide. In order to remove such wrong and baseless beliefs from the society and to spread the real fact about AIDS, on account of the World AIDS Day, the 1st December, to spread the awareness about AIDS in the society, Yogi Divine Society had organized a seminar on Sunday, the 18th Dec 2016 in C/42, Ambika Nagar Society at Dabhoi in which, around 150 gents had participated.
With the help of a presentation, the institution’s worker Sri Ghanshyambhai Kachhiya had explained as to how do we get infected by the virus of H.I.V. and how does it gradually get converted into AIDS while also informing about the misbeliefs prevailing in the society saying that they all are far away from related scientific facts/truths. Actually, he said that, the H.I.V. virus spreads through blood or sperm of an infected individual so, if the sexual contact is done with him, his blood is given to other patients or an injection syringe used by him is used for others, then only it spreads or it is transmitted to a child in his mother’s womb if she is infected.
Thus, by disproving the misbeliefs that, infection of H.I.V. virus spreads if mosquito bites a healthy person after biting an infected person or its virus can be spread by mixing them in cold-drinks, based on the medical science and by giving real information, he advised all to treat the patients of H.I.V. humanly.
According to the present treatment, he said that, in spite of being infected by H.I.V. virus, an individual can live a normal and long life with the help of Retrovirul medicines.
In this seminar, the elderly workers like Sri Gopalbhai, Sri Parmeshbhai, Sri Baldevbhai and Sri Harendrabhai from the institution were also present.
