World No Tobacco Day - 2017, Ghodasar, Ahmedabad
On account of World Tobacco Prohibition Day, Yogi Divine Society had organized a seminar in 7/A, Ghanshyampark Society, Canal Road, Ghodasar, Ahmedabad on Friday, the 16th June 2017 on deadly effects of addiction of tobacco in which, around 120 gents and youths had participated to know about deadly effects of use of tobacco.
With the help of Power Point Presentation in this seminar, the institution’s volunteer Sri Yashbhai Kotak informed all about the negative-harmful effects of various products of tobacco on human body and said that, because lakh of people die every year in the world due to this, UNO has declared 31st May as World Tobacco Prohibition Day to inform people about this fact and to make/prompt them keep away from its use and, in this efforts, different social institutions also actively cooperate. Let the producers of various products of tobacco make any type of impressive/tempting advertisements of their products but, they should simultaneously also put on the packets of all such products like cigarettes, gutaka etc. a legal warning and photo of victim patient using tobacco so that, all its other direct or indirect users also can know about fatal effects of its use/consumption.
Saying that, negative effects of use of tobacco is not only on the health of its user but, it also financially affects his family and for these reasons, he said, one should avoid use/consumption of it.
Those, who were addicted for use of tobacco, left their cigarette packets and pouches of tobacco before the portrait of Shree Thakorjee in this shibir and resolved not to ever use them again.
