Tribal Care - 2016, Bagodara Taluka

On Date: 17 January 2016

On Sunday, the 17th January 2016, P. Gungrahakswami and P. Harinamanswami from Yogi Divine Society had visited Bagodara village situated on the borders of Gujarat and Saurashtra to meet the citizens from backward communities of shepherds and cowherds there to give them their Atmiya Sparsh.

Yogi Divine Society undertakes various social welfare activities regularly of which, human welfare and bringing people of backward and roaming communities into the main stream and make them educated under the self-consciousness awakening of people are the main ones. To achieve this goal, the saints and the volunteers from the institution are making honest and sincere efforts by regularly visiting the remote area villages and staying there among the backward caste people to give them the warmth and love and to solve their problems with Atmiyata.

As a part of this, P. Gungrahakswami and P. Harinamanswami had visited Bagodara, a small village situated on the borders of Gujarat and Saurashtra and, meeting the people there, had collected information about their lifestyle. There is no big business here and the people of shepherd and cowherd community here depend upon their brutes for livelihood. During insufficient rain and scarcity of grass, they have to walk hundreds of miles with their animals in search of water and grass and reach place with enough water and as such, their children can’t get proper education. Moreover, bad customs, false beliefs, blind faiths, addictions and child marriages are found to be more among them. As such, the saints from the institution had met their leaders and making them aware of present social trends, inspired them to keep away from such vices.

Experiencing the atmiya treatment, selfless love and sympathy by these saints, the people of these communities were impressed very much.
