Today, thousands of students are staying in different hostels in Vidyanagar and are studying in various faculties like Engg., Medical, Commerce and many others. But, in the prevailing situation of the society in this Kaliyug, no one can be sure about their being/remaining aloof from bad companies, addictions and other many vices like that, totally spoiling their culture. With a totally pure and noble aim of providing home-like atmosphere and treatment like family members to these students coming there for studies, Yogi Divine Society has established a sankool/complex called “Atmiya Vidya Dham” there in Bakrol and provided a residential hostel to them called “Hari Saurabh” fully equipped with all the modern/latest amenities required by students for their proper studies. And, on account of its completing one year, its 1st Annual Day was celebrated on Sunday, the 28th February 2016 in the presence of the family members of all the students staying there. The prominent and leading well known personalities of Anand-Vidyanagar also remained present on this occasion.

In the beginning of the program, Shri Naitikbhai Joshi and Shri Avinash Jiyani had informed the audience about the spirit and purpose of starting this Hari Saurabh Hostel. Then, the students started the Dhoon “Shrikrishna Govind Hare Murari……”, and presented songs like “Meri Maa……”(Atman Desai), “Tane Haiyama Padharavun……”(Harshbhai Oza) and a English song on the tune of Guitar (Parth Marwadi).

This was followed by distribution of prizes to the winners of the games like Chess, Table Tennis, Singing etc. arranged among the students staying in the hostel, jointly at the hands of Shri Naginbhai Sheth, Shri Jayeshbhai Sheth and Shri Vinitbhai.

After this, the students of the hostel presented an enthusiastic dance.

Then, the student Bhavinbhai, staying in this hostel and studying in Changa B.E. Electricals, described the unimaginable positive and admirable change brought about in his life after he came to stay in this hostel as compared to his past life full of bad company, addictions and his wasteful/harmful activities listening to which, everybody present there highly and whole heartedly appreciated the constant and continuous hard work and efforts by P.P. Hariprasadswamiji in this direction and saluted to them.

Then, the incident of Guru Ramdas saving and protecting king Shivaji from Afzalkhan and making him an instrument for the protection of Indian Culture was presented through a drama (Dialogue) by the students staying in the hostel.

Then, the winners of the tournaments like Volley Ball, Table Tennis and Cricket were awarded prizes at the hands of Saint leader P. Guruprasadswami while, the title of “Student of the Year” was awarded to student Sri Milanbhai Patel who had, while doing his studies throughout the year also had lived cordially with all the other students and had observed all the rules and regulations of the hostel in to-to, at the hands of Shri Viththaldas Patel (Secretay).

Then, while talking about the intention and the spirit of Guruhari P.P. Hariprasadswamiji behind establishing and starting this hostel here said that, the Swamiji wants to see that the students staying here develop and preserve the great culture of their parents while properly studying to build their bright and happy future. Here, the children are looked after by mother-like saint like P. Guruprasadswami and P. Anandsagarswami, both of whom have themselves done their Masters in Engineering. He also said that, while looking after the careers of the students here, even the responsibility of shaping their life also in a most appropriate way is also carried out for which, the periodical workshops on the subjects like HUMAN BEHAVIOUR & POSITIVE ATTITUDE, PROUD TO BE AN INDIAN, POWER OF HARD WORK, BEING SINCERE….. and many other similar subjects shaping the life of students are also periodically conducted in the hostel. Along with the celebration of the religious festivals like Janmastami, Ramnavmi and Navratri the National Festivals like 26th January and the 15th August are also observed collectively in group here. While talking about the future plans/projections by the hostel he said that, along with the education of the students here, in order to develop the other professional skills like Spoken English, Computer Literacy, Soft Skill Development and a few other skills useful in their life the hostel is thinking and planning seriously.

In his speech, the saint leader P. Guruprasadswami appreciated the enthusiasm and zeal of the students for organizing everything for this entire function and thanked/saluted the parents of the students for sending their children here in this hostel and, describing the case of his own life, he said that, they had come in contact with P.P. Hariprasadswamiji when they were the students and it was just and only because of Him only, that, they could study well and could make progress in their life as a result of P.P. Swamiji’s care, encouragement, guidance and warmth otherwise, even their life also would have got stranded in the storm of today’s Kaliyug. He said that, their children also had got the same best opportunity today as, they were sent to this hostel for which, he also congratulated/thanked them. He also explained as to what type of personal interest P.P. Swamiji takes in the life of these students to make their life a success and totally happy by describing the incidents from the life of other students.

In the end, Shri Tejasbhai thanked all the saints, the guests, the leading personalities and the parents of all the students residing in the hostel and concluded the function after which, all the guests and the students enjoyed the meals-the Prasad together and then left for their own destinations.
