Yogi Divine Society, Haridham, Sokhada had organized a program of Atmiya Cricket Tournament 2016 at Shri Swami Atmanand Saraswati Vidya Sankul Ground on Sunday, the 7th Feb 2016 in which, 14 teams had participated and, all of them were given the different themes like cleanliness, tree plantation, beti bachao, relief from addiction etc. campaigns of social services and for which, all of them were committed and had bound themselves to work of the execution and spread of them in the society sincerely. Thus, this was an entirely a new and unprecedented effort of awakening, motivating and joining the youths in the voluntary services to the society by them along with their games.

The tournaments were declared open jointly by Shri Animeshbhai Mali (President BJP Kishan Mocrha, Gujarat) and Shri K. D. Waghani Sir (Trustee, Shri Swami Atmanand Saraswati Vidya Sankul) by lighting a lamp and cutting a ribbon on the pitch at the center of the ground. Around 200 players and the spectators had jointly chanted the slogans of “Vande Mataram” and “Bharat Mataki Jay” to express their spirit of nationality. While highly praising and whole heartedly welcoming this unique, totally new and an unprecedented experiment by Yogi Divine Society, Shri K. D. Waghani said in his speech that, arranging sports for youths is no doubt a good thing but, it really deserves very high appreciations from all to prompt, encourage and motivate the youths for voluntarily doing social services like activities of protecting environment and relief from addiction etc. while arranging for sports and tournaments for them. He also admitted that, perhaps, there can’t be any other better example of awakening the youths towards their social responsibilities while providing to them the opportunity for their favourite games.

The president of Yogi Divine Society, P.P. Hariprasadswamiji regularly visits a number of countries of the entire world and is selflessly toiling to spread the divine message of “Atmiyata” (the unity of hearts among people) and for the spread the spirit of Samp, Suhradbhav and Ekta (harmony, Whlehearted acceptance and unity) among people even at his such an old age of 82 years. In order to solidify, support and to spread this message of Him, this tournament was arranged among the people from different castes and creeds of society without giving chance to or considering any difference between them and so that come closer to each other and they play with each other amicably, the tournament was named as “Atmiya Cricket Tournament”. Before starting every match, every player of both the teams used come together and vow to work for and to spread the message of sports Mahakumbh – World Yoga Day, Global Worming, Awareness about Cancer, Tree Plantation, Relief from Addiction, Clean India Campaign and similar other subjects in the society and also took oath for the same. Thus, Yogi Divine Society had made a small effort of spreading the above messages in the different parts of the society through the medium of these players which was highly admired and appreciated not only by those 200 players but all the spectators also alike and all had vowed to spread the said message of social service/benefit still on a wider scale in the entire society.
