United Nations Organization (UNO) has declared 21st June as International Yoga Day. The Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi is doing gigantic efforts to bring awareness about this in the general public. The Yogi Divine Society had celebrated International Yoga Day on Sunday, the 21st June 2015 by arranging a shibir in the afternoon between 4.30 pm & 6.30 pm in the Hall of Dada Bhagwan’s Temple at Kelanpur in Vadodara.

The regional saint leaders P. Suchetanswami, P. Praneshswami and the elders of the mandal had made very perfect and appreciably good arrangement/preparations/canvasing of the shibir so that the maximum possible people can participate in it and take its full/best advantage. The shibir was started with chanting of vedic slokas.

Then, the yogacharya Sri Ravibhai Pandya had explained as to what does the yoga really mean and had informed about its (yoga and pranayama) usefulness, about 5 types of pranas (air) in our body, demonstrated Bhramari Pranayam and asked to do light warming up exercises, talked of 4 types of joints in our body and guided about how to keep them active for longer period/time and showed and demonstrated a few light exercises which everybody of age from 8 years to 88 years can easily do and explained how to regulate apan prana (air) and keep away/avoid diseases like gas, acidity and migraine etc.

The assistants of Sri Ravibhai Sri Laxmanbhai and Sri Pravinbhai also had joined him in demonstrating practically all the asanas and pranayams from the stage in which, even the saints also had joined. In this program, the participants from Vadodara City as well as those from Kelanpur, Vaghodiya and the surrounding villages totaling around 650 had joined.

At the end of the program, all the participants expressed their gratitude/thanks to Sri Ravibhai and the Yogi Divine Society for arranging such a nice and useful program and had vowed to make the light exercises of yoga a part of their daily routine life to always remain fit and healthy.
