International Yoga Day - 2016, Avidha
To celebrate the International Yoga Day, Yogi Divine Society had organized a Yoga Shibir at Shree Vijay Vidya Mandir at Avidha on Tuesday, the 21st June 2016 in which, around 320 students from the school had participated to be conversant with the knowledge of yogasans and pranayams.
Incidentally, when, as a result of successful efforts by the P.M. of India Sri Narendrabhai Modi, United Nations Organization (UNO) has declared 21st June as “International Yoga Day”, Yogi Divine Society had organized this camp for wider awareness about yoga and pranayams in the children.
In this shibir, the teacher of sports and games from the school had informed the students about the yogasans and pranayams through practical demonstrations along with physical exercises when they were shown tadasan, vajrasan, pashchimotanasan etc. while also demonstrating kapalbhati and bhramari etc. during which, even the principal and the teaching staff also remained present.
