International Yoga Day - 2017, Akhod
To celebrate the 3rd World Yoga Day, Yogi Divine Society had organized a camp on Wednesday, the 21st June 2017 in the open ground of Primary School of Akhod village of Vagara Taluka in Bharuch Dist. in which, the school’s teachers Sri Rakeshbhai and Sri Dipakbhai had given basic information of yoga to around 60 people participating in the camp.
When, as a result of sincere efforts by the PM of India, Sri Narendrabhai Modi, UNO has declared 21st June as World Yoga Day, Yogi Divine Society had organized a yoga camp on this day in the interior village like Akhod of Vagara Taluka in Bharuch Dist.
While providing basic/primary information about different yogasans and pranayams to nearly 60 persons in the camp, Sri Rakeshbhai and Sri Dipakbhai asked the villagers to adopt them in their daily routine life like TV and new fashions and said that, gradually, the villagers are going away from hard works due to following modern life style, the use of grains grown with fertilizers mixed with chemicals and all the electrical instruments like tractors and others. If this trend continues like this only, even the people from villages also will become physically weak. The yogasans and pranayams can prove to be very helpful and useful under the circumstances.
The volunteer from Akhod Sri Jaydipsinhji and the elderly volunteer from Yogi Divine Society Sri Mahendrasinhji also were present in the camp. The participants had taken the suggestion by the yogacharyas as a hint/warning for alertness and had shown their preparedness for sincerely putting in practice the yoga and pranayams.
