When, the P.M. of India Sri Narendrabhai Modi has started a movement for cleanliness all over India under his “Clean India Campaign”, taking it as a joint responsibility of all, Yogi Mahila Kendra is also doing its best to spread the message of cleanliness everywhere through its multidimensional programs in this direction.

The water of Tapi River, said to be the lifeline of Surat City, is being used as potable for the citizens and for irrigation and in industries but, is being polluted due to pure negligence and lack of proper care by the people around. To bring a change/improvement in this position and to develop an awareness about cleanliness among the people, the gent Volunteers and youths from Yogi Divine Society, Haridham, Sokhada had taken up a campaign of cleaning up the Pagalbaba river sides, Choki of Tapi River at Moti Ved, in Surat on Sunday, the 1st January 2017 and had collected 4 trucks full of the rubbish like the fallen tree leaves, the flowers dropped in the river by the public, the animal dungs and the rubbish like the plastic-polythene bags harmful to the environment etc. during this sacrifice of service which lasted from 8.00 am till 10.30 am and the same was properly disposed of with the help of nearly 290 gent Volunteers and youths from the institution.

In the beginning of this campaign, the ex corporator Sri Satishbhai had explained P.M. Sri Narendrabhai Modi’s spirit behind the Clean India Campaign and had called upon the Volunteers to this message to the general public in the society.

Along with the ex corporator Sri Satishbhai and social Volunteer Sri Ambubhai, the elderly Volunteers from Yogi Divine Society were also present there.
