Ambrish Shibir - 2016, Queenstown, NZ

On Date: 12 March 2016

Yogi Divine Society had organized a shibir for Ambarish and volunteers on Saturday, the 12th March 2016 in Queenstown in New Zealand in the presence of institution’s president P.P. Hariprasadswamiji in which, around 250 ambarish and volunteer ladies and gents from different areas of New Zealand had participated and learnt how the social services can be done more efficiently.

Yogi Divine Society regularly conducts various social services activities internationally and, so that the cultural heritage in Indian families on foreign soil is preserved, due efforts are constantly made by ambarish & volunteers there. To properly train and educate them for this, a 3 session shibir was organized.

While explaining the importance and real meaning of services in the first session of the shibir, the secretary Sri Ashokbhai said that, helping the victims of natural calamities like floods and earth quakes only is not the service but, to assist and help the people of our society at the time of their real need/difficulties is the real service.

Sri Pramodbhai Chauhan said that, when he came first time to New Zealand, he didn’t know anybody but when he came in contact with institution’s serviceable volunteers, their atmiyata touched him at his heart and felt that, there is somebody here whom he could take as his own and gradually when he came in contact with the saints and P.P. Swamishree, he realized that, He is working for and doing a gigantic task of developing human personalities and then thought him to be fortunate enough to be a part of it.

Sri Himanshubhai Patel from Auckland appreciated the services by the volunteers present there and called upon all the Indians on foreign soil to be helpful to each-other.

Speaking next, Sri Rameshbhai Maisuriya advised all to maintain discipline and courtesy in their thoughts speech and behavior and nicely guided to live as per Swamishree’s life concept of “Atmiyata”. Sri Purnambhai from Canada said in his speech that, Swamishree and saints took interest in his life and gave him proper guidance every time to live life due to which, he was never attracted towards tempting things of the world and with the culture of atmiyata, he could reach the peak of success.

After the end of 1st session, all took lunch break and again at 3.30 pm, the 2nd session started in which, Sri Praneshbhai, P.P. Swamishree’s driver, who is most fortunate enough to watch P.P. Swamishree’s life very closely, described Swamishree’s concept of sacrifice, mercy and welfare of entire world.

Then, narrating the incidents from the life of P.P. Swamishree, P. Sarvamangalswami described His atmiyata and, from the incidents of P.P. Swamishree as witnessed by him, he said that, He holds mercy and sympathy for every living being without any discrimination of religion, caste or creed and big or small and said that, while doing social service activities, every volunteer should keep before his eyes the life of P.P. Swamishree as an ideal.

P. Shashwatswami, who renders his services in New Zealand and Australia as the regional saint there, described the incidents from the life of youths whose life was transformed after coming in touch with P.P. Swamishree and said that, he, who can repair the rotten brains and broken hearts, is the real saint.

In the end, P.P. Hariprasadswamiji explained to the volunteers that, in every small or big incident, our behavior always speaks so, remembering this constantly, we must always live discreetly as, the entire world is constantly watching us with a hopeful eye. It becomes our most sacred duty as a volunteer in the field of social service to be helpful to every human being and there must be a positive effect of every of our actions on the life of other youths and thus, he guided youths to live positively with self-discipline keeping the eyes, ears and tongue positive.

Thus, after an address by P.P. Swamishree, the 2nd session got over after which, everybody enjoyed on foreign soil, the taste of Indian traditional foods.

In the light atmosphere in the 3rd session, the volunteers had an opportunity of direct conversation with P.P. Swamishree when they also collected memory of this event by taking photos with P.P. Swamishree.

In this shibir, nearly 250 volunteers had adopted the highest spirit of selfless social services by Yogi Divine Society and had resolved to follow the same with more enthusiasm in social services by them.
