World AIDS Day - 2016, Adajan, Surat
On account of the World AIDS Day, the 1st December, to spread the awareness about AIDS in the society, Yogi Divine Society had organized a seminar on Friday, the 16th Dec 2016 in the hall of Saint Mark School in which, around 225 gents and youths from Surat’s Adajan and its nearby areas had participated.
In this program, the institution’s volunteer Shri Nileshbhai Vadhel, while giving information about AIDS with the help of a presentation had said that, the World Health Organization is celebrating 1st December as the “World AIDS Day” in the entire world every year since 1988 and the first case of AIDS was registered in 1986 in India. As on today, the figure of registered cases of AIDS in the world is more than 3.5 crore while, unregistered or those who are infected by the H.I.V. virus but, are in its last stage, meaning, it has not attained the stage of AIDS, may be much more. Thus, during the last 30 to 35 years, crores of people have been the victims of AIDS and today, when there is no 100 % cure or treatment available, properly understanding its deadliness, it is inevitable to save ourselves from it.
By furnishing the related pictures and figures before the people, they were made conversant with AIDS and in the end, explaining the importance of the slogan, “Precaution is the only best safety”, they were asked to save themselves from AIDS.
In this program, Yogi Divine Society’s volunteers from Adajan area Sri Maheshbhai Tank and Sri Gordhanbhai were present. The people present in this program from Adajan area said that, we have heard so much important information in such a simple and effective language first time which we will spread in our surrounding area to cooperate in preventing the spread of AIDS.
