Life Partner Acquaintance Ceremony for Disabled Persons (Bandhan 4) - 2016, Vadodara
The saints/sages have considered the handicapped as “Divyangs” who live their life by developing their natural gifts, specialities and educational qualifications but, with an idea/wish that, if such 2 persons join together with atmiyata and try to live with cooperation from each other, they both can work as supplements to each other and can live their life in a better and happier way, a joint program by Yogi Divine Society, Haridham, Sokhada and Samvedana Disabled Persons’ Social Welfare Trust, 4th All Gujarat handicapped life partner introduction convention – “Bandhan- 4” was organized in Nizampura Atithigruh, Delux Char Rasta.
To inaugurate the program, a lamp was lit jointly by P. Suchetanswami (Yogi Divine Society), Sri Mayankbhai Patel (Samvedana Trust), Sri Bharatbhai Dangar (Mayor, Vododara City Mahanagarpalika) while the political and social leaders like Sri Yogeshbhai Patel (Dy. Mayor, Vododara City Mahanagarpalika) and Sri Rajeshbhai Ayyar also remained present in the function.
In his address on this occasion, Sri Bharatbhai Dangar had described such activity by the institution like a blessings for the handicapped followed by a speech by P. Suchetaswami who said about this introduction convention that, it was being organized with an ideally noble and sacred intention that, if the handicapped boys and girls develop acquaintance with each other and unite by marriage in future to be the help and assistance to each-other instead of being dependent on their parents and establish their own unique status in the society, it will be really a great occasion for them in the life.
In this convention, partially or fully handicapped 199 boys and 36 girls had participated for whom, the institution had collected their bio-data and photographs in advance, prepared a booklet for the same and distributed it among the candidates and, according to the Sr. Nos. in it, the candidates had come forward to give their introduction.
In the 1st stage only of this program, 15 handicapped boys and girls had selected each-other out of which, 5 couples had also got their names registered for marriage in the institution’s forthcoming group marriage program.
During this program, to all the members of those families who came from outside cities, were also served suitable refreshments while, the volunteers and the youths of Yogi Divine Society had also helped all the handicapped persons right from their registration up to leading them to their seats by giving their selfless services.
