World Malaria Day - 2017, Valla
On account of World Malaria Day, Yogi Divine Society had, on Saturday, the 15th April 2017, shown a presentation in Valla village of Nadiad Taluka when, around 600 ladies and gents remained present and got information about how to protect themselves from Malaria.
In this seminar, with the help of power point presentation, the institution’s volunteer Sri Dhavalkumar Pandya had informed that, formerly, the people used to believe that, malaria spreads due to polluted air but, as a result of subsequent scientific researches it was found that, actually, it happens due to the virus called plasmodium and anopheles female mosquito carries its virus.
By preventing the increase of mosquitos, a control on the spread of this virus can be achieved for which, we should keep the water tanks in our houses as well as those in the surrounding areas, drums of water etc. nicely closed and clean the water in the flower pots, air coolers, fridge trays etc. regularly.
WHO and the Govt. of India have also started a campaign against Malaria which has brought down the death rate remarkably and, even a vaccine has also been successfully invented which has given a hope that, due to it, this disease will be totally eradicated. When the WHO has set a target of totally relieving the entire world from the effect of this disease by the year 2022, Yogi Divine Society also contributes its due share in achieving this target through such seminars regularly.
In this general meeting, the other saints like P. Brahmavihariswami, P. Tirthswaroopswami, P. Anupamswami and P. Prabhudarshanswami from Yogi Divine Society also remained present when, P. Prabhudarshanswami had appealed to the people present there to help in fight against malaria by reaching the information received here to the maximum people in the society.
