World Malaria Day - 2017, Adajan, Surat
The World Health Organization has declared 25th April as “World Malaria Day”, on account of this, to develop awareness about Malaria in the society, Yogi Divine Society had, on Friday, the 14th April 2017, organized a seminar in Saint Mark School, Nr. Gangeshwar Mahadev, Adajan, Surat in which, around 270 gents and youths had remained present and received the knowledge about reasons for its attack, symptoms and the means of protection against it.
With the help of a power point presentation in this program, the institution’s volunteer Sri Ashishbhai Patel had explained that, this disease is developed due to a bite by the female mosquito carrying plasmodium virus and its main symptom is fever with shivering and, to save ourselves from the attack of this disease, the stop on breeding of mosquitos should be done which prevents the spread of its virus and the disease too.
Presenting the figures, he said that, as a result of researches in the field of medical science and health, and the joint efforts by institution like WHO, there has been increasing awareness about malaria in the society resulting in the decrease in the death rate during the years 2000 to 2015 which is a positive sign.
At the end of the seminar, highly appreciating this effort by Yogi Divine Society to provide such useful information about malaria, the people had promised to give their maximum support in fight against it.
