World Malaria Day - 2017, Mahidharpura, Surat
On account of “World Malaria Day”, Yogi Divine Society had organized a seminar in “Suhradam”, Lal Darwaja, Surat on Tuesday, the 18th April 2017 in which, around 120 persons had participated to know about the symptoms of Malaria and the ways to be saved from it.
Through a power point presentation program on Malaria, the institution’s volunteer Sri Hiteshbhai Vaghasiya informed about the history, cause of its spread, its symptoms and remedy of it and, explaining the history of it, he said that, formerly people considered polluted air to be the cause of it but, scientific research have now proved that, it is caused due to a virus called plasmodium and the increasing population and, tours and travelling is the main reason for its spread due to which, though, originally started in Africa continent, it has got spread all over the world.
Talking further about it, he said that, 4 types of Malaria virus are found. With the help of modern medicines, if regularly taken for 14 days, we can control it but yet, the fact that, more than 5 lac people die of Malaria even today in the world proves its deadliness.
When the UNO has started a campaign to make the entire world free of Malaria by 2022, Yogi Divine Society also made its efforts to inform people about Malaria and spread the said knowledge amongst other people too.
Along with the volunteers Sri Sunilbhai Thakkar and Sri Jagdishbhai Patel of Yogi Divine Society, Dr. Hardikbhai (M.D.S.) also remained present in this program.
