World Malaria Day - 2017, Atmiya Mandal, Surat
On account of “World Malaria Day”, Yogi Divine Society had organized a seminar in the open ground of a Govt. School near Paras Market in Surat on Monday, the 17th April 2017 during which, the institution’s volunteer Sri Pareshbhai Yadav had informed nearly 120 gents and youths about Malaria and the steps to prevent it.
Through a power point presentation program, Sri Pareshbhai explained that, Malaria is since spread by mosquitos, by controlling their breeding, we can stop its spread. Because the mosquitos put their eggs in water, their larva and pupas also get developed there only, so, by keeping water tanks, drums etc. covered and by removing and cleaning the water from flower pots, air coolers, fridges etc. regularly, we can prevent the increase of mosquitos.
While declaring that a campaign had been launched by the Health Dept. in entire Gujarat, it was also informed to the participants that, the Health Centers run by Surat City Corp., free medicines for malaria has also been distributed to the patients of it and they were also requested to spread these information to others too.
The participants in this program organized by Yogi Divine Society on account of World Malaria Day had highly appreciated this activity of securing public health considering it very useful and informative.
The elderly volunteers like Sri Jesangbhai Bhoj, Sri Pradipbhai Vadher and Sri Nareshbhai Parmar of the institution also remained present in this program.
