World Malaria Day - 2017, Udhna, Surat
On account of “World Malaria Day”, Yogi Divine Society had organized a seminar in Harinagar – 2, Udhana Road in Surat on Wednesday, the 19th April 2017 during which, the institution’s volunteer Sri Divyeshbhai Rana had informed nearly 80 gents and youths about Malaria and the steps to prevent it.
In the seminar, through a power point presentation, Sri Divyeshbhai informed that, Malaria is a danger disease and is spread by mosquitos and lakhs of people die due to it in the world. Presenting the figures of Surat city, he said that, during last 6 years, 50,000 cases of it were recorded with Palika of which, 32 people died of it while, the real figures of unregistered cases and deaths may be much more.
He further informed that, the swelling on liver and spleen, fever and shivering, decrease in blood counts, weakness and giddiness and the pain in the body are the common symptoms of Malaria although, he said that, the testing of blood only can determine it while advising to go for it to know the reality.
The participants had, while highly appreciating such activity of social service, organized by Yogi Divine Society on account of World Malaria Day, also called it necessary for general public.
The elderly volunteers Sri Jivrajbhai Bhoj and Sri Nandlalbhai also were present in the program.
