World Malaria Day - 2017, Saniya Kande, Surat
On account of “World Malaria Day”, Yogi Divine Society had organized a seminar in Haribhavan, in Saniya Kanade, Tal. Choryashi at Surat on Thursday, the 20th April 2017 to develop awareness about Malaria in the general public during which, nearly 175 ladies, gents and youths were informed about reasons for attack of Malaria, its symptoms and the steps to prevent it.
In the seminar, while talking about Malaria, institution’s volunteer Sri Ranvirsinh Gohil said that, the mosquitos spread Malaria, plasmodium virus spreads in human body through the blood of anopheles female mosquito. Malaria’s effect can be seen within 7 to 21 days after the bite by a disease infected mosquito during which period, the virus of malaria breed in human’s liver and spleen and they keep killing white cells, the defenders of body. After the creation of sufficient number of virus, the defence system of the body gets disturbed and the patient feels cold and shivering which we call Malaria.
It is necessary to control the breeding of mosquitos, take care to see, that the water doesn’t collect around our house, the children are protected/slept under the mosquito nets to protect from Malaria.
The UNO seems to be getting good success in its campaign to get rid of Malaria in the entire world by 2022. The present figures show that, there has been significant reduction in number of deaths due to Malaria which can be attributed to people’s inclination towards cleanliness, health oriented research and easily available medical treatments.
The institution’s volunteers Sri Chandrasinh Devdhara and Sri Ishwarsinh Solanki were also present in this program.
