World Malaria Day - 2017, Dabhoi

In order to develop an awareness about Malaria in general public, considering the “World Malaria Day”, Yogi Divine Society had organized a seminar on Sunday, the 9th April 2017 in Ambicanagar Society at Dabhoi where, around 120 gents and the youth had received the knowledge about the reasons for the spread of Malaria, its symptoms and the steps of precautions to save from it.

While explaining about this disease through a power point presentation, the institution’s volunteer Sri Ghashyambhai Kachhiya said that, it develops by plasmodium virus through the mosquitoes and its main symptom is fever with shivering. To save from it, it is necessary to stop breeding by mosquitoes resulting in indirect spread of its virus and stoppage of disease for which, the residents have got to be careful for regularly remove the dirty waters collected in small ditches/pools around and use mosquito nets and coils to keep the mosquitos away.

It is reported that, the maximum spread of this disease in the world is in African regions where, lakhs of people die because of it every year. The present figures show that, there has been a substantial decrease in the death rate during 2000 and 2015 as a result of latest researches in the medical field and the cooperation among institutions like WHO and similar ones and the awareness about Malaria among the general public which really is good sign and, according to the latest news, the vaccine for Malaria has also been found which also will help in controlling this disease.

Having received adequate information about Malaria, all the participants also promised to assist in the fight against it and highly appreciated this effort by Yogi Divine Society.

In this program, the volunteers like Sri Gopalbhai, Sri Harendrabhai, Sri Dasharathbhai, Sri Sagarbhai and Sri Kinjanbhai from the institution also remained present.
